Sun and Surf

Our souls refreshed by the salty air,

Our bodies kissed by the sun.

We built castles of sand, and ran through surf,

'Til daylight fell and day was done.

We felt freedom on the waves in the ocean blue,

Our worries swept away with the tide.

Watching smiles spread across freckled faces,

My heart (a mother's heart), of love filled wide.

I missed you while I was away, my friends. It's good to be home. Sorry for the short post, I am piled underneath a mound of sandy laundry and back to school forms that have yet to be filled out. :)
